The purpose of the 9th Grade Student Led Conference (SLC) is for students to create a collection of their academic work from their first semester as a 9th grade student at Chula Vista High School in order to reflect on their learning. The SLC is an opportunity for students to analyze their work, reflect on their effort as a student, and share their learning experience with their families and guests at the 9th Grade Student Led Conference event. The SLC allows students to engage with their families in meaningful discussions regarding their academic success and growth in high school.
For the 2019-20 school year, Chula Vista High School has placed an emphasis on students creating an e-folder (e-portfolio). This focus will help students gain technical skills necessary for a 21st century education and career, and demonstrates the school’s commitment to improving the environment by reducing paper waste.
9th Grade SLC presentations will be November 18-22, 2019 (invitations will be sent to families).
